Chamonix, France

Over the summer in 2011 I was offered the most wonderful experience- a friend asked whether I would photograph their wedding in France. I was delighted and a little terrified but instantly accepted. So I spent a week in the gorgeous ski town of Chamonix, France. It was the first time I’ve been away for a very long time, but this place was well worth the wait! The weather was balmy, the food amazing, and there was so much to do (far more than we could do in just one week). The wedding was fabulous too – just family and close friends which allowed it to be very relaxed. It was situated in a lovely wooded area in the middle of a golf course that was surrounded by glorious snow topped mountains and a glacial stream which conveniently kept the beer icy cold. The meal was hog roast that had been turning over the fire for 24 hours, fresh green salads, and a ‘Love Heart’ inspired fruit cake for dessert. Here are a few pictures from the holiday, enjoy:
