Over the summer my sister got in touch asking whether I’d be interested in going to visit The Real Flower Petal Confetti Company up in Worcestershire. Of course I jumped at the chance as I’d seen so many beautiful photographs of these fields featured on Instagram. I’m a huge fan of taking pictures of flowers, so an afternoon spent surrounded by beauty was my idea of heaven.
This is definitely something you should do if you love flowers and colours. I struggled deciding which colour of delphiniums I loved more, I really didn’t want to be too obvious and choose the pale pink but I do have to say, it did photograph the best. This year, the confetti company created the effect of a Union Jack with the flowers. Unfortunately I didn’t get the opportunity to photograph it but from what I’ve seen online, it was pretty impressive.
These fields are obviously very popular. They only open the fields up at certain times of the year so it does mean that especially over the weekend it did get quite busy crowds. We had to queue for parking, and we’d planned to have afternoon tea there but when we realised how popular it was we decided to just enjoy the flowers and have afternoon tea in a neighbouring village.
I promise I didn’t ask my husband to wear a pale pink shirt – complete luck but it did look quite good!!
